Veteran Nurse Launches Groundbreaking Daycare Facility in Williamsburg

The Playhouse Daycare LLC today announced its grand opening in the Spring.

The Daycare is unlike any other on the Peninsula or indeed on the East Coast. It is Registered Nurse owned and operated, offering childcare facilities for all babies and children but also to include children with G/J tubes, NG tubes, ostomies, trachs and those requiring special medical needs and treatments.

Using state of the art technology, parents are able to watch their baby sleep or their child play from their smart phones. Grandparents can tune in from another state and even deployed parents can watch their children from another country.

A restful lactation suite is available for moms to nurse their babies with complimentary refreshments. The center has piqued the interest of pediatricians across Hampton Roads and its owner is currently conducting in-services and talks for medical facilities.

This ground breaking facility is the brainchild of Judy Bradby, a registered nurse holding 28 years experience across 2 continents.

With the help of trained child educators she will not only offer a full day of learning and fun for the children but after hours workshops, pediatric CPR classes and support groups for parents at no charge.

Run by nurses and open from 6am to 6pm, the center is currently the only one of its kind on the East Coast and will be life changing for parents, currently unable to work due to the need to be at home with a child with a special medical need and unable to attend a regular daycare.

“I’m beyond excited” Bradby stated, “I have taken care of so many medically compromised babies and children as a home health nurse. This is the culmination of many dreams and will make such a major difference for so many families.”
